    Sector meeting and Dutch shows at TAZ#19

    With the support of Dutch Performing Arts, theatre festival Theater aan Zee (TAZ) presents a multitude of theatremakers and companies from the Netherlands. The festival also hosts a sector meeting (in Dutch) for theatre professionals from the Netherlands and Flanders. The sector meeting is organised by TAZ, Dutch Performing Arts, rekto:verso, Stichting Nieuwe Helden, Cultuurloket, and deBuren.

    Dutch focus at the Venice Biennale 2019

    Dutch Performing Arts proudly powers three Netherlands-based theatre companies and artists who are part of the International Theatre Festival at the Venice Biennale 2019. Theater Artemis, Club Gewalt and Julian Hetzel are part of a Dutch focus programme, with multiple performances in July and August 2019.

    Dutch and Flemish theatre at DramatikerInnenfestival 2019

    This year’s edition of the annual DramatikerInnenfestival in Graz, Austria will include a special focus on theatre from the Lowlands. The event will feature staged readings of six theatre texts originally written in Dutch.

    Dutch Performing Arts proudly powers eight Dutch youth theatre and dance companies who are present at the IPAY Showcase 2019, in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in New York, Assitej Netherlands and DutchCulture. The showcase takes place from 15-19 January 2019 in Philadelphia, the United States.

    For the third time director Ivo van Hove has selected a novel by the great Dutch author Louis Couperus as the material for a theatre production. Couperus wrote ‘The Book of Small Souls’ between 1901 and 1903, in the turbulent period of transition from the 19th to the 20th centuries.
