Dutch Performing Arts | en France: Rencontres choréographiques internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis
Choreographies by Keren Levi and Ann Van den Broek will be performed during Rencontres choréographiques internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis.
The festival will open with 'The Dry Piece XL' by Keren Levi on 12 and 13 May. In 'The Dry Piece' the disturbed relationship between beauty ideals and contemporary feminine identity are scrutinised. In this performance choreographer Keren Levi uses theatre technique as Photoshops’ paintbrush and contemplates the gap between glamour and labour in a show performed by naked female dancers behind a projection screen.
On June 10 and 11 'Accusations' by choreographer Ann Van den Broek will be performed. 'Accusations' is an intriguing, nearly endless relay race of live movement, images, film, sound and words. Performers are absorbed by meaning, contemplation, accusation and regret. Accusation focuses on choices that were or were never made, chances that were or were not taken, mistakes that consume, desires that have yet to be satisfied.
Dutch Performing Arts | en France is a multi annual project that aims to increase the visibility and presence of Dutch theatre and dance in France.
