Ruhrtriënnale 2015
Music, dance, theatre, performance and fine arts in the former industrial buildings of the Ruhr Area: that‘s the Ruhrtriennale.
From 2015 onwards, this art festival will be taking place under the artistic direction of the Dutch director Johan Simons. The theme of his programme in these three years will be “Seid umschlungen” (be embraced) – a gesture of social, political and geographical embracement.
The festival will take place in the period 14 August - 26 September 2015.
Some (Dutch) highlights of the festival:
Joep van Lieshout will create this 'Refectorium': a multi functional 'art village'. During the entire festival several events will take place.
On the 15th of August during the official opening of the festival the Dutch DJ Elias Mazian will perform in the 'Refectorium'.
On the 6th and 13th of September Mor Shani and Paul Sixta will present their workshop Love-ism in the 'Refectorium'
The Dutch programmes are financially supported by Dutch Performing Arts.
