As part of a continued collaboration with Dutch Performing Arts, Gaudeamus Muziekweek 2021 organises an international professionals' programme for music presenters. The professionals' programme takes place from 10-12 September 2021 in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Gaudeamus Muziekweek facilitates the development of new work and an stages tomorrow’s music. As part of a collaboration with Dutch Performing Arts since 2015, the festival organises an international professionals' programme to present a host of Netherlands-based artists and composers to international presenters. Invitations to the professionals' programme are extended by the organising festival.

Young music pioneers from the Netherlands


Gaudeamus Muziekweek is a platform for young music pioneers. From classical crossover and minimal soundscapes to modern composition with (live) electronics. The international professionals' programmes serves up performances by and encounters with:

young Netherlands-based composers including Celia Swart, Roche van Tiddens, Irene Cassarini/Guenther Raler, Niels Broos, Igor C Silva, Thanasis Deligiannis, Karmit Fadael, Nuno Lobo, Silvia Lanao, Vitali Karagkezidis, Esther Wu, Ben van Bueren, Farid Sheek, Yu Oda, and Frieda Gustavs;
young artists and ensembles from the Netherlands such as Kluster5, Michela Amici & Elisa de Toffol, Merel Vercammen & Femke IJlstra, Sabr Ensemble, Rafaele Andrade, Postland, and Arthur Wagenaar;
renowned Dutch ensembles like Asko|Schönberg, Slagwerk Den Haag, New European Ensemble, Ensemble Klang, Modelo62, and Cello Octet Amsterdam.

About Gaudeamus Muziekweek


Gaudeamus presents, organises, promotes, and supports the newest music by pioneering talent and has been an advocate of trailblazing composers around the world for 70 years. From classical crossover and minimal soundscapes to modern composition with (live) electronics. Gaudeamus Muziekweek presents young music pioneers. The festival culminates in the presentation of the Gaudeamus Award, an incentive prize for composers under 30. Gaudeamus Muziekweek 2021 takes place from 8-12 September 2021 in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

The international professionals' programme is organised by Gaudeamus Muziekweek in collaboration with Dutch Performing Arts. The programme is made possible by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
