inJazz Online 2020 for international music professionals
#jazz #music #conference #festival #online #networking #professionals #matchmakingInternational festival and conference for jazz music inJazz takes place online on 25 & 26 June 2020. Instead of a live edition in Rotterdam because of the measures against COVID-19, inJazz goes digital so international music presenters can continue to meet (new) Dutch work and musicians.
In collaboration with Dutch Performing Arts, the programme of inJazz offers a number of activities that introduce (new) Dutch work, musicians and bands to international presenters.
Conference
A catalyst for new developments, the conference brings together the supply and demand sides of the (Dutch) jazz scene. Music professionals can sign up for online panels, matchmaking sessions and presentations, giving them the opportunity to connect with (potential) international partners and to pursue a successful career. The conference is free, but registration for the sessions is required.
The panel 'Performing Arts Fund NL: international funding and promotion' gives an overview of the grants and international promotional activities of the Performing Arts Fund NL. The session takes place on 25 June from 13:30-14:20, and will be hosted by Susanne Moed (programme manager at Dutch Performing Arts) and Jan Sprengers (Performing Arts Fund NL).
The session 'How to strengthen ties across the Channel post-Brexit?' discusses how UK and Irish jazz promoters and arts organisations can continue to build on the success of ‘Going Dutch’ and strengthen ties with cultural partners from the Netherlands post-Brexit. Dutch Performing Arts commissioned the Jazz Promotion Network to coordinate the focus programme Going Dutch in 2017 and 2018, to support Dutch jazz musicians and/or groups to perform and tour in the UK and Ireland. The panel takes place on 25 June from 15:30-16:20.
Festival
Music lovers can enjoy a scintillating series of showcases of both live music and pre-recorded performances. Promising Dutch jazz acts, but also more seasoned groups, will hit the stages at night.
