November Music 2016
November Music, an international music festival based in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, organises an international visitors' programme in collaboration with Dutch Performing Arts to introduce (new) Dutch work, musicians, composers and companies to international presenters from November 11 - 13.
On Saturday November 12, November Music is organising a special professionals programme where Dutch composers and the international guests discuss the musical landscape from an international perspective.
There will be presentations by a.o. Nieuw Geneco, Donemus and Deuss Music. After a network lunch, the composers will have the opportunity to have a speeddate session with the international guests, one on one.
November Music gives the audience a bird's-eye view of what’s happening with new music. The festival focuses on more than one genre, but the emphasis is on contemporary composed music. Especially in recent years November Music has also featured jazz, improvised and electronic music, musical installations, and music theatre. The festival is attuned to the present moment. The range is very wide.
Dudok Kwartet, Jameszoo Quintet, Nora Fischer, Ralph van Raat, Holland Baroque and Merlijn van Twaalfhoven are a few of the many companies and composers presenting their work.
For more information go to novembermusic.net or send an email to info@novembermusic.net.
The visitors' programme is made possible by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
