Professionals' programmes for dance and (music) theatre presenters in 2020

At the invitation of the organising festival, international presenters take part in a tailor-made programme. They will experience (new) Dutch work, meet Netherlands-based artists and companies, and attend pitch sessions and networking events.
We're pleased to share a first overview of this year's programmes in the fields of dance and (music) theatre.
Pop Arts Festival - 15-26 April 2020, Amsterdam

International festival that presents a wide range of puppet and object theatre from the Netherlands and abroad, organised by Theater Bellevue, Theater De Krakeling, De Brakke Grond and Feikes Huis.
SPRING Performing Arts Festival - 14-23 May 2020, Utrecht
Professionals' programme: 21-23 May 2020
International platform for performance, theatre and dance. Delegates can meet emerging and pioneering performers who live and work in the Netherlands.
Operadagen Rotterdam - 21-30 May 2020, Rotterdam
Professionals' programme: 24-27 May 2020
International opera and music theatre festival featuring contemporary, innovative, and ground-breaking productions by established international makers as well as young and adventurous talent. The professionals' programme introduces (new) Dutch work, musicians and companies to international presenters.
DAS Theatre's master presentations - dates to be announced, Amsterdam
Professionals' programme: dates to be announced
DAS Theatre is a full-time, two-year residential programme of the Academy of Theatre and Dance. The Academy is the Netherlands’ premier training school for all theatre and dance disciplines at bachelor and master’s degree level. DAS Theatre organises an international professionals' programme with presentations by its graduates at the master's degree level.

Theaterfestival Boulevard offers an adventurous and varied programme of theatre, dance and music theatre, with performing artists from the Netherlands and Flanders (the northern part of Belgium), plus international directors and choreographers. The programme is presented in theatres, cafes, parks: the whole city of Den Bosch is a stage.
TheaterFestival Flanders - 10-12 September 2020, Brussels

Over the course of ten days TheaterFestival Flanders spotlights the best theatre that Flanders, Brussels and the Netherlands have to offer. The professionals' programme titled 'Highlights from the Lowlands' is organised by Dutch Performing Arts, Flanders Arts Institute and TheaterFestival Flanders.
Dutch Dance Festival - 1-8 October 2020, Maastricht

Remarkable performances from up-and-coming choreographers as well as established dance companies. International delegates will see premieres from remarkable choreographers, followed by a selection of the best performances of this season.

Two children's arts festivals join forces for the organisation of a professionals' programme in October.
The Krakeling Festival takes place throughout Amsterdam and shares a taste of the most beautiful and best productions for young audiences. De Krakeling Festival stands for high quality programming, new talent, diversity, and international programming and exchange. International children's arts festival De Betovering takes place in The Hague. Over the course of nine days, the festival presents enchanting children’s productions from the Netherlands and abroad, including theatre shows as well as dance, music and film. Together the two festivals host a four-day professionals' programme in Amsterdam and The Hague.
